POMONA, N.Y. -- County Clerk Paul Piperato led the first naturalization ceremony of 2016 at the Rockland County Fire Training Center in Pomona on Friday.
One hundred twenty-nine people became U.S. citizens at the Rockland County Fire Training Center in Pomona on Friday.

One hundred twenty-nine immigrants from 40 countries took the Oath of Allegiance and became United States citizens officially.
