Delhomme stated that he would block any applications that come in from Jewish residents as they failed to support him in the election, according to a report from lohud.com.

On Twitter, Rockland County Executive Ed Day has condemned the remarks.

"My administration has created a culture and climate in which these types of anti-Semitic remarks are very much responded to," Day said. "Mayor Delhomme's hateful comments are completely out of line and unacceptable.

"The people of Rockland County have no tolerance for this behavior."
