Rockland County Boces Honors Sister Gorsuch With Good Samaritan Award

WEST NYACK, N.Y. -- Rockland County BOCES honored Sister Fran Gorsuch -- director of community initiatives at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern -- with the Commitment to Excellence award in a ceremony Wednesday at its headquarters in West Nyack, reports lohud.com.

Gorsuch was recognized for her work on Project Search, a BOCES vocational program in which students with learning disabilities participate in internships at Good Samaritan to help prepare them for employment, the story says. Gorsuch has been the liaison to the BOCES program since it started at Good Samaritan in 2011.

Dawn Kitz, project search coordinator for BOCES, presented Gorsuch with the award and said that Gorsuch's "dedication and commitment were beyond measure."
