Safety and Security training was the focus, as police went to the mall and offered employees specialized instruction.

The training made employees aware of procedures to be followed if there was a large scale incident such as a fire or an active shooter.

Clarkstown Police worked with mall owner, The Pyramid Companies, and devised a training plan. Police were also assisted in the implementation of the plan by the security company patrolling the mall.

The goal is that by working together, CPD will continue to provide the latest training and safety initiatives to keep both the town and malls safe.
