Jade, who is said to be 2-3 years old, was recently surrendered because her owner could no longer care for her, according to the shelter, which said that she is friendly and affectionate when comfortable in her environment.
Though she "starts out a bit shy at first," the housebroken dog "will warm up nicely," according to the shelter.
Jade is working on her leash skills and should be the only pet in the house, according to the shelter, which said that she needs a home with older teens and adults who can provide a quiet environment.
Anyone who would like to meet Jade or any of the other animals up for adoption at the animal shelter should email info@hitor.org.
