Donations Needed For Displaced Victims Of Valley Cottage Fire

NYACK, N.Y. – The Family Resource Center in Nyack is asking the community to donate money for a gift card collection to help two displaced families from a fire get the items they need.

The families have lost everything, according to a release from the center. The gift card for stores like Target and Kohl's would help pay for clothing and food. Donations may be brought to the Nyack Middle School Guidance Office, 98 S Highland Ave.

Donations of gently used clothing are being accepted at the Nyack Village Hall, 9 N. Broadway.

Sizes are for boys, six months, first grader, 11th grader and girls, size 16 to 18.

Iglesia La Mision Church at 11 Dividion Ave. is accepting clothing, household items, electronics, gifts card and other items.

A local charity, Ride to Give, has set up an online fundraiser to collect monetary donations.
