The Shops At Nanuet Plan First Walk/Run For Breast Cancer

NANUET, N.Y. -- Simon’s The Shops at Nanuet will team up with the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce to host the first ever Run For Retta, a series of walks and runs, in memory of former local resident Loretta Cappiello on Sunday, May 1 in Nanuet.

Registrants will be able to participate in any three of five different events, which include the fast-paced Race for Elite Runners, Open Walk or Run, Kiddie Fun Run, Pink Diva Costume Run and Stroller Run or Walk.

The course, which starts at 9 a.m., will begin at The Shops At Nanuet. Participants will make their way through the downtown area before returning back to the finish line on the mall’s property.

“We are thrilled to team with the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce for the first ever Run For Retta,” said Briana Puncar, director of marketing and business development for The Shops at Nanuet. “We are pleased to support this worthy cause and encourage our shoppers and members of the community to join us on May 1 for this special event.”

All proceeds raised from the event will benefit The Breast Center at Nyack Hospital. The Run for Retta is sponsored by Cookie Tray and Dynamic Productions.
