So where’s the best place to slather on the toppings and indulge in the perfect weiner? Daily Voice readers picked three nominees for our DVlicious “Best in Rockland County,” contest, each of which is being profiled this week.
Read below for what makes each nominee a “top dog,” then let your fingers do the clicking. Keep in mind you can vote multiple times, albeit once per day. Voting ends 4 p.m. Thursday, July 28.
The Dog House, 17 North Middletown Road, Nanuet; (845) 624-9500Frank Talk: The options are many at this 11-year-old, family-owned restaurant. Their dogs are fried or grilled and come in jumbo, foot-long or junior sizes. You can also get a kosher dog, corn dog bites, a Georgia hot (spicy), a bratwurst, or a kielbasa.
Top This: The Porky Pig is topped with bacon, cheese and raw onions. Its Italian Dog has peppers, tomatoes, potatoes and onions. And the Chicago Dog has pickles, tomatoes, relish and onions. The New York has sauerkraut and red onions.
