Nyack Art Center To Screen 'Cadmium Yellow,' Celebrate Artist Joyce Brynes

NYACK, N.Y. – The Edward Hopper House Art Center in Nyack will screen “Cadmium Yellow,” a 1982 film by Richard Rogers about young New York City artists, on Friday, Dec. 4.

The program, which will open with an intro and talk by Nyack’s Tony Ziegler, one of the artists featured in the film, starts at 7 p.m.

A reception for the center’s “artist of the month,” Joyce Brynes, starts at 6 p.m.

A native of Staten Island, Brynes has lived in Rockland County since 1997.

Her pastel works on paper depict scenes from nature.

She has exhibited in the Nyack Art Collective’s Group show in Prohibition River, a restaurant on Nyack’s Main Street.
