Featuring live music, entertainment and refreshments, the festival benefits the hungry and other charitable causes in Rockland County and throughout the world, organizers said.
This year's event features food, wine and beer donated by Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse, The Time Hotel, Zinburger, Brooklyn Seltzer Boys, Defiant Brewery, Southern Wine & Spirits, Austin’s Restaurant & Bar, Two Spear Street, Hudson Fine Catering, and At Your Service NY Catering.
The Haiku Guys and Magic Mark Calabrese will provide entertainment at the festival site, Rockland County Day School, 34 Kings Hwy., Congers.
“Each year, we look to exceed last year's results and get the community involved through sponsorships, journal advertisements and ticket sales. The 2016 Festival promises to be the best yet,” said Susan Trugman, New City Rotary Club president.
More than 250 people are expected to attend. Among the recipients of the funds raised at the Festival will be People to People, which feeds more than 2,000 families each month, and homebound meal programs such as Meals on Wheels, and Together Our Unity Can Heal.
Through funding from the festival, the club also holds a winter coat drive and supports other programs such as the Girls School for the Blind in India, among other international endeavors.
The festival also helps fund the club's annual scholarship program. Sponsorship and Journal advertisement opportunities are available on the festival website.
Also, through the festival website, discounted tickets are available for $50. Tickets are $55 at the door.
Updates on the festival are available at the Rotary's Facebook page, and any questions can be emailed to info@newcityrotaryfestival.org
