Auditions Set for Montville Production Of Lewis Black's 'One Slight Hitch'

MONTVILLE, N.J. -- The Elmwood Playhouse's Omar Kozarsky will have auditions for roles in Lewis Black’s comedy “One Slight Hitch” Sunday and Monday at The Barn Theater in Montville.

Auditions will be conducted from 7-10 p.m.

The Comedy Central comedian’s “Hitch” is a farce centering on the chaos that ensues at a seemingly “perfect” wedding in 1981.

The cast requirements include:

  • “Doc” Coleman (male, 50s to 60s), the father.
  • Delia Coleman (female, 50s to 60s), the mother.
  • Courtney (female, late 20s to early 30s), the bride.
  • Harper (male, early to late 30s), the groom.
  • Melanie (female, early to mid-20s), the bride’s sister.
  • Ryan (male, late 20s - early 30s), the bride’s ex.

Actors are asked to arrive to sign in within the first hour of the audition start time. Casting is open to all ethnicities and newcomers are welcome.

Crew and other volunteers also are needed for the play.

Performances are Jan. 15 through Feb. 6.
