Royal Properties, Inc. of Bronxville who handled the leasing deal, said the two stores are scheduled to open in September, said David Landes, of Royal Properties.
T.J. Maxx will take over part of the former Pathmark Supermarket and occupy 25,000-square-feet and Sierra Trading, 19,500-square-feet, he added.
Both stores will make a nice addition to the tenant mix at Rockland Center and bring more fashion opportunities into the Rockland County market, Landes said.
"I feel these two retailers will do tremendous business in Nanuet due to the location of Rockland Center," he said. "Both stores were drawn to the market because of the high traffic counts and co-tenancy of the other retailers in Rockland Center."
The entire shopping center will undergo a transformation with the addition of the new stores. The center is currently home to HomeGoods, PetSmart, AC Moore, Party City, Big Lots, AutoZone, Five Guys, Chili’s Restaurant & Grill and a varied combination of local and regional retailers.
The company was drawn to the complex due to the success of the existing HomeGoods as well as its highly visible location on Route 59 in Nanuet.
"We believe that with a population of over 215,000 people in a five-mile radius and traffic counts in excess of 31,000 cars per day along Route 59, Rockland Center is the ideal place to expand the TJX concepts,” said Landes.
