Fatal Crash: 58-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Riverhead One person was killed in a midday crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 in Riverhead. A 2015 Nissan Sentra owned by Riverhead Town Taxi had been traveling eastbound on Route 58, just east of Northville Turnpike.  After passing through the intersection, the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the roadway from the north side to the south side.
