Restaurant To Close After 21 Years Flooded With Business In Region
A popular Capital Region Chinese bistro and bakery said they are slammed with orders after announcing the restaurant would close for good next week. Hong Kong Bakery & Bistro in Colonie announced in a Facebook post last week that the owners — Berry Lai and Shu Lam Chan — were retiring and would shutter the eatery on Monday, Aug. 26. Since then, the Wolf Road restaurant has been slammed with orders and had long wait times as staff deal with the rush of customers looking for one more order of dim sum or some of the popular bakery items, it said in a follow-up post. …

Popular Restaurant Chain Closing Capital Region Location After 20 Years
Time is running out to visit this popular restaurant in the region. In Albany County, the Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub is set to close its Colonie location – at 107 Wolf Road – after 20 years in business. The restaurant’s final service will take place Sunday, Aug. 11, a company spokesperson told Daily Voice. Employees are being offered positions at other locations or severance pay.
