Toddler Dies In Hot Car, Monticello Woman Charged With Homicide A Hudson Valley woman is facing homicide charges after a toddler died in a hot car. Sarah Carter, 34, of Monticello, was indicted for criminally negligent homicide by a Sullivan County jury on Friday, Jan. 24. Emergency crews were called to the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex in July 2024 for a child left in a vehicle. Officers located 2-year-old Antonio Suarez in a Ford Explorer suffering from cardiac arrest, according to New York State Police. Responders immediately began life saving measures, which were unsuccessful. Antonio’s cause of death was determined to be by hyperthermia. Outs…

Sullivan County Drug Trafficker Busted With 3 Kilos Of Cocaine, $136K In Cash, Police A drug dealer/trafficker from the region was allegedly busted with three kilos of cocaine and other drugs along with cash following a two-month investigation. Sullivan County resident Raheen Meredith, age 50, of Thompson, was charged on Friday, Oct. 25. 42-Year-Old Found Dead In Monticello Home An investigation is underway after a person was found dead in the region. New York State Police say the homicide happened in Sullivan County on Saturday, Oct. 5 in the village of Monticello at a house on Lakewood Avenue. The victim has been identified as Jose Rodriguez, age 42, a resident of Monticello.  Anyone with information related to the homicide is urged to contact SP Liberty BCI at 845-292-0280.  The investigation is being conducted by state police, in conjunction with the Monticello Police Department and the Sullivan County District Attorney's Office,

Woman Dead, Man Injured During Shooting In Region Police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death in a vehicle and a man badly injured in the region. The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 12:30 a.m., Monday, May 28, outside of Building 2 of the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex at Terri Lane in Monticello. According to Lt.
