2 Women Hospitalized After Crash Near Shopping Center In Region
Two people were injured in a two-car crash in the region. The collision occurred in Dutchess County around 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, on Route 9 at the intersection of Galleria Drive near the AT&T store and Vitamin Shoppe in the Town of Poughkeepsie. According to the Poughkeepsie Police, a 2016 Honda sedan, driven by a Poughkeepsie woman, was heading northbound on Route 9 when it collided with a 2013 Audi sedan. Two teens wanted for a variety of alleged traffic and vehicle violations fled from police before being nabbed in the Hudson Valley following a parking lot crash. The incident began in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd at 1:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, when two teens in a 2022 Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound on Route 9W fled from police in an attempted traffic stop and ended in Dutchess County in Poughkeepsie, According to Trooper Steven Nevel, troopers pursued the vehicle toward the city of Poughkeepsie and terminated the pursuit before entering the city. 53-Year-Old Woman Killed In 2-Car Crash In Region
A 53-year-old Hudson Valley woman was killed in a two-car crash. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 14, at the intersection of New Hempstead Road and Summit Park Road in Ramapo. According to Sgt. Shawn Bakker of the Ramapo Police, responding officers found a 2000 Ford Taurus and a 2007 Honda Accord had crashed. Bakker said that a 69-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman, both residents of Spring Valley, occupied the Ford. Both were transported to Nyack Hospital by Spring Hill Ambulance. Driver Injured In 2-Car Crash In Front Of Historic Manor In Region
A two-car crash in front of a historic Northern Westchester manor-turned-museum caused injuries, firefighters said. The incident happened in Croton-on-Hudson on Saturday, Sept. 7 at around 7:20 p.m., when two vehicles collided in front of Van Cortlandt Manor on South Riverside Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Arriving fire crews dealt with a fluid spill from one of the cars while EMS treated a driver injured in the crash. Both vehicles were later towed away, the department said. A driver was hospitalized after their vehicle plunged down an embankment in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Sept. 7, when an SUV crashed into the woods at around 1:40 a.m. in the area of Nicholas Way in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
