5 From Region Nabbed On Weapons Charges During Stop
Five people were nabbed on alleged weapons-related charges during a traffic stop in the region. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, on Route 17K in the town of Bloomingburg. Trooper Steven Nevel said troopers noticed a 2017 GMC Yukon traveling westbound on 17K, violating numerous vehicle and traffic laws. Troopers, with the assistance of the Wallkill Police Department in Orange County, made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Capital Region resident Albert Blowers, age 48, of Rensselaer, Nevel said. Two people were busted for alleged felony cocaine possession during a routine traffic stop by New York State Police in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 9:20 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, in East Fishkill. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, members of the department's Community Stabilization Unit conducted a traffic stop of a 2020 BMW 530 Series on the Taconic State Parkway for violations of the vehicle and traffic laws. Orange County Man Shot On Town Street, Suspect On The Run, Police Say
Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help after a man was found shot on a town street. The incident occurred in Orange County at 11:55 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, at 76 Sandburg Court in Wallkill. According to Lt. Robert McLymore of the Wallkill Police, responding officers found a 27-year-old Wallkill resident suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper left arm. Firefighter Falls Through Floor While Battling Blaze At Hudson Valley Home
A firefighter fell through a floor during the response to a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence. The blaze began on Tuesday, Oct. 29 inside the laundry room at a North Salem home on Nash Road, according to the Croton Falls Fire Department. Arriving fire crews soon began dousing the flames with hose lines and started making their way inside. A Hudson Valley man was nabbed allegedly with a semi-automatic weapon after he was spotted by police at an apartment complex and was wanted for an altercation. An oil delivery truck driver pinned under his truck when it rolled over him at a Hudson Valley home was critically injured. The incident occurred in Rockland County on Thursday, Oct. 31, around 9:30 a.m. near 88 Buckingham Court, in Pomona. Owens, age 44, of Hyde Park, was arrested on Monday, Oct. 28, for animal cruelty in connection with the death of a dog on Tuesday, Sept. 3. According to Capt. An alleged Hudson Valley drug dealer was nabbed following a three-month investigation into the sale of cocaine in the area. Dutchess County resident Shyquan J. Collins, age 32, of Poughkeepsie, was charged on Thursday, Oct. 31, by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force. According to Det. Sgt.
