Authorities caught a trucking company illegally dumping contaminated construction debris, including lead materials, at an Orange County farm, officials announced. Federal regulators are warning that a convertible crib sold on Amazon has several serious safety risks to babies, officials said. The Consumer Product Safety Commission warned that the Hermixa 6-in-1 Convertible Crib violates multiple federal safety standards, the federal agency said in a news release on Thursday, Jan. 30. Health officials are working to contain an outbreak of bird flu at a Hudson Valley farm, the second such outbreak in New York this month.
