A man is dead and two officers were hospitalized after being shot during a 12-hour standoff in Northern Westchester. At about 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, the New York State Police responded to a residence in the Town of Cortlandt on Quaker Bridge Road in the village of Croton-on-Hudson for a report of a barricaded subject armed with a gun. Body Pulled From Hudson River Off Westchester
The remains of a man were recovered from the Hudson River after a boater reported observing a body floating in the river. The body was discovered around 2:50 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, after county police were notified that the boater had seen the body off the coast of Irvington, said Westchester County Police Spokesman Kieran O'Leary. The Westchester County Police Marine Unit responded, located the body and brought his remains aboard a Marine Unit patrol boat. ID Released For Driver Of BMW Motorcycle Killed In High-Speed Westchester Crash
Police have released the identity of a motorcyclist killed after being ejected from his motorcycle in a two-vehicle crash in Westchester. Juan A. Rosario-Tiburcio, 36, of Newark, New Jersey, was killed during the crash which occurred around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, June 1 on I-87 southbound in Yonkers, said New York State Police Trooper Tara L. IDs Released For Two Victims Of Fatal Boating Accident At Reservoir In Westchester
The identities have been released of the two men found dead after a New Year's Eve boating accident in a reservoir in Northern Westchester, New York State Police said. State Police have also confirmed that there are no additional fatalities involved in the incident at the Muscoot Reservoir in the hamlet of Goldens Bridge in the town of Lewisboro. A 63-year-old Westchester man killed during a single-vehicle crash on Route 116 has been identified. William S. Jackson of Mount Vernon was killed around 5:25 a.m. Tuesday in the town of Somers after losing control of his vehicle, said Trooper AJ Hicks, spokesman for the New York State Police.
