Woman Found Dead In Hudson River On Christmas Eve Tentatively Identified
A woman who was found floating in the Hudson River on Christmas Eve has been tentatively identified. The body was discovered in Dutchess County around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24 near Waryas Park in the city of Poughkeepsie. The body was taken to the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and identification of the remains, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark of the city of Poughkeepsie Police. 14-Year-Old Stranded On Personal Watercraft In Hudson River
A 14-year-old who was out on the family's personal watercraft experienced mechanical issues and became disabled in the Hudson River. The incident took place around 11:40 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2 off the City of Poughkeepsie shoreline, when the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol responded for a distress call on the Hudson River off the City of Poughkeepsie shoreline, said Lt. Alligator Found Near Bushes In Hudson Valley Park
A man and his grandson were quite surprised after finding an alligator lying in the leaves near bushes in the area. The nearly 3-foot alligator was found around 2:44 p.m. Monday when they were walking through Waryas Park, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark. The department sent an officer to the scene who managed to catch the North American alligator by its tail and then tape its mouth without any problem, police said.
