Ex-Yale Med School Worker Who Stole $40 Million In Electronics Sentenced
A former Yale University School of Medicine employee who stole $40 million in computer and electronic hardware from the university has been sentenced. Jamie Petrone, age 43, a former resident of Naugatuck, was sentenced on Thursday, Oct. 13, to nine years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for wire fraud and filing a false tax return, according to Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut. NYC Man Sentenced For Trafficking Marijuana In CT
A 30-year-old man is set to spend the next two years behind bars for trafficking more than 100 pounds of marijuana in Connecticut. Queens resident Gustavo Garcia has been sentenced to 24 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release after pleading guilty earlier this year to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana. A Fairfield County man was sentenced to more than three years in prison after pleading guilty to utilizing a Dutchess County grow house to traffic more than 40 pounds of marijuana. A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for trafficking cocaine out of a Fairfield County hotel.
