The massive Nor'easter tracked farther north than expected, but it sure made its presence felt throughout the region.
Especially in upstate New York, where the highest snowfall totals were recorded.
Litchfield, New York, a town of about 1,500 people located in Herkimer County, about 60 miles east of Syracuse, was walloped with 40 inches of accumulation, with 20 inches falling in a five-hour span overnight.

Man Admits To Stealing Van At Hospital In NY, Burglarizing CT Post Office
A man moved quickly after being discharged from a Manhattan hospital, stealing a van before breaking into a Fairfield County post office and attempting to steal packages.
Leon Clinedinst, 37, formerly of Ocala, Florida, pleaded guilty this week in Bridgeport Court to one count of burglary of a U.S. post office, and one count of interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle following an incident in January.

Fairfield County Teen Reels In Huge 42-Inch Trout In Upstate NY, Report Says
A Fairfield County teenager reeled in a massive, near-record breaking trout during an excursion in an upstate New York lake.
Stamford resident Liam Bard, 16, landed a 42-inch trout during a trip on Skaneateles Lake in the Finger Lakes region, which approached a state record, according to reports.
The fish was reportedly the teenager’s first-ever lake trout.
