45-Year-Old CT Woman Killed, Man Critical In Wrong-Way I-84 Crash A 45-year-old Connecticut woman is dead and a man is in critical condition following a wrong-way driver crash on I-84. The collision took place in New Haven County around 6:20 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, in Waterbury. A 2004 Honda Accord was traveling in the wrong direction on I-84 when it caused two other vehicles to crash, said the Connecticut State Police. Killed in the crash was 45-year-old Fairfield County resident Francisa Jessennia Cortez-Arias of Danbury. Former Trooper In Area Dies From Injuries Suffered In Crash A New York State Trooper who began his career at the Middletown and Liberty state police barracks was killed in a motor vehicle crash when he was rear-ended by a box truck. Trooper Jeremy J.
