Hudson Valley Man Nabbed For Sex Abuse, Police Looking For Other Victims, Cops Say Police are encouraging anyone who may have information or who was abused by a man charged with alleged sex abuse to come forward. Ulster County resident Steven Lopez, age 34, of Kingston, was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 1 with persistent sex abuse for forcibly touching a victim against their will.  According to Kingston Police, Lopez has been arrested at least twice for the same type of crime in the past 10 years. Child Sex Abuse: Hudson Valley Man Nabbed For Assaulting Juvenile, Police Say A 56-year-old Hudson Valley man has been charged with child sex abuse following an investigation. Rockland County resident William Kwiecinski of Stony Point was arrested on Tuesday, June 20 after police were made aware of a complaint from Orange County and the town of Montgomery. According to Stony Point Police Lt. Greg Becker, Kwiecinski had sexual contact with a juvenile in August 2022. He was charged with sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child while in Stony Point, Becker said. Kwiecinski was released on a $10,000 bail and is set to return to court in July.

State Police arrested the 64-year-old Orange County resident on Friday, July 19. Charles Sandike, of New Windsor, was charged with criminal sexual act (a felony), sex abuse (sexual contact with an individual less than 17 therefore incapable of consent), and endangering the welfare of a child (both misdemeanors).  Sandike was arraigned in the Town of New Windsor Court and remanded to Orange County Jail on $25,000 bail.
