16-Year-Old Boy Critical After Being Hit By Car In Monroe: State Police
A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after being hit by a car while walking along a Hudson Valley roadway. New York State Police said the incident occurred around 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, on Route 105 in Monroe. According to state police, Shlome Bernbluth, of Monroe, was walking on the south shoulder of the roadway when he was struck by a 2021 Toyota driven by a 27-year-old Monroe man traveling eastbound when he failed to maintain his lane. Bernbluth was transported to Westchester Medical Center with severe head injuries and is listed in critical condition, state police said.&n…

Police ID Man Killed In Late-Night Minivan Crash In Monroe
A Brooklyn man was killed late Tuesday night, Dec. 10 when his van veered off the road and struck an embankment in Monroe, authorities said. Ulugbek Yunussov, 62, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler van that left the roadway and struck an embankment on Larkin Drive around 11 p.m., NY State Police said. Yunussov was extricated from the vehicle as EMS began lifesaving measures. Yunussov was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in serious condition but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation. A Middletown man and teenager from Monroe were among four busted by New York State Police troopers for drinking and driving overnight as law enforcement agencies continue their crackdown on impaired driving in the region.
