"The setup for the Northeast will involve a fresh injection of cold air as high pressure will build eastward from the Great Lakes region spanning Thursday and Friday," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Mike Doll said. Areas farthest south will see th…

A spring that's been as far from normal as imaginable will soon bring rarely seen mid-April slippery roads from accumulating snowfall. A storm that has brought heavy snow over the Rockies will move into the Northeast toward the end of the week, bringing accumulating snowfall in areas farthest north in the region. All this comes after an unusually mild winter that saw just a few inches of snowfall accumulation in February and March combined for most of the region. The timing for the storm is overnight Friday, April 17 into Saturday, April 18. Areas shown in the image above north of I-84 in…

Here's Latest On Complex Storm That Will Bring Big Change Heading Into New Year
A complex storm system will sweep through the area starting late in the weekend, bringing about a big change in the weather pattern heading into the start of the new year and new decade. The storm will arrive Sunday afternoon, Dec. 29 and continue through Monday evening, Dec. 30 in this region after bringing blizzard conditions to the Rockies and Upper Midwest earlier in the weekend.
