An area man was charged with operating a drug factory following a warrant search of his home in which more than 10,000 packs of heroin were allegedly seized. Orange County resident Richard McInturff was arrested on Thursday, March 18, by the Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Group. Undercover Operation Leads To Arrest Of Accused Heroin Dealer In Area
An alleged area heroin dealer was busted following a month-long investigation into the sale of drugs in the area. Richard McInturff, 28, of Port Jervis, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 22, during the late evening hours, and charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, based upon a month-long investigation into the sale of heroin in the area of Jersey Avenue located in Port Jervis, said the Port Jervis Police Chief William Worden. Port Jervis Men Caught With 450 Heroin Bags In Route 287 Stop, Police Say
Three New York State men -- two of them from Port Jervis -- were arrested just across the New Jersey state line by police who said they found the trio carrying 450 bags of heroin during a stop on northbound Route 287. Officer Christopher Fasulo stopped the car, driven by Donovan Burton, 18, of Port Jervis for several motor vehicle violations, Mahwah Police Chief James N. Batelli said.
