911 Call Leads To Felony DWI Charge For Red Hook Woman At Convenience Store A 911 call led to the arrest of a 41-year-old woman for felony drunk driving after police found her inside her vehicle in a Quick Chek parking lot. Lisa D. Jackson of Red Hook was arrested after Ulster Police responded to the store on Ulster Avenue and found that she was driving under the influence and with a suspended license, Ulster police said. During the course of the arrest, Jackson refused to submit to a breath test, police said. She was charged with felony DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation, as well as several misdemeanors, including drinking alcohol in her vehicle.  Jackson w…

Bicyclist Killed After Being Hit By Pickup Driver On Route 9W A fatal accident involving a 33-year-old Dutchess County motorist whose pickup truck hit a bicyclist in Ulster County is under investigation, according to the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. The accident occurred around 6:20 p.m. Monday when Michale C. Brailey of Red Hook, who was driving his white 2013 Ford F-150 north on Route 9W when his pickup truck left the roadway and struck a bicyclist, the department said. Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Raping 13-Year-Old Twice, Police Say A 25-year-old man from the Hudson Valley has been charged in connection with raping a 13-year-old girl, according to state police. On Jan. 28, New York State Police from the Pine Plains barracks and the Rhinebeck Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Bryan C. McGarry of Clinton for two counts of rape in the second degree, a Class D felony. McGarry was arrested for having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old victim on two separate occasions in 2017 in the town of Pine Plains.
