Six Saved After Westbrookville House Is Caught In Ice Jam Six residents were rescued without injuries by firefighters in Orange County after their home was overrun with ice chunks and water, according to state Department of Transportation on Twitter. Shortly after the flooding began around 2 p.m. Friday, the DOT, along with the New York State Police closed Route 209 in Westbrookville due to the ice jam and flooding. The road is closed from Pine Kill road and Port Orange Road as officials work to break up an 8-foot wall of ice, state DOT officials said.
