Alligator Found Near Bushes In Hudson Valley Park
A man and his grandson were quite surprised after finding an alligator lying in the leaves near bushes in the area. The nearly 3-foot alligator was found around 2:44 p.m. Monday when they were walking through Waryas Park, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark. The department sent an officer to the scene who managed to catch the North American alligator by its tail and then tape its mouth without any problem, police said. Area Man Killed When Motorcycle Hits Curve, Crashes
An area man was killed after losing control of his motorcycle and hitting a guardrail. Carmin Quintero, 27, of Plesant Valley was killed just after 3 p.m. Sunday when he crashed on I-80 eastbound in Wharton, N.J., said New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez. Quintero was riding a Honda motorcycle when he got off at Exit 34 and struck a curb, overturned and both he and his bike hit the guardrail, Goez said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, he added. No other vehicles were involved and Quintero was the only person involved, state police said.

Man Admits To Road-Rage Stabbing That Killed Westchester Man On Taconic
A 22-year-old man has pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing another motorist during a road rage incident on the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester. Pleasant Valley resident Christian Walcyzk has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the stabbing death in May last year of Daniel Siino, a 28-year-old father who lived in Hartsdale. A trio from Connecticut was busted with crack-cocaine hidden in several places by New York State Police troopers during a stop in Dutchess County.
