Man Attempts To Set Fire To Hudson Valley Deli With Customers, Employees Inside: Police
A former deli employee in the region was nabbed for allegedly attempting to light a business on fire with employees and customers inside.
The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Main Street Deli & Grocery at 390 Main St. in Beacon.
According to Beacon Police Chief Thomas Figlia, after arriving on the scene, officers identified Westchester resident Shane Williams, age 39, of Peekskill, as the suspect.
The chief said a former employee, Willams, had poured lighter fluid on the building and attempted to ignite it with customers and employees inside.

Hudson Valley Teen Runaway Nabbed For Stealing Cars, Burglary, Theft, Police Say
A 16-year-old runaway in the region has been nabbed for allegedly stealing two vehicles, burglary, and theft.
The arrest occurred in Ulster County on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the town of Lloyd.
According to Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, the Lake Katrine teen was charged after a month-long investigation found the boy allegedly stole two vehicles, entered a residence, stole a cell phone and iPad, and took alcohol from a convenience store in Highland.

Man, 42, Nabbed In Burglaries Of Hudson Valley Synagogues, Police Say
A man has been charged in connection with the burglaries of three Hudson Valley synagogues.
Joel Jungries, age 42, of New York City, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 23 in connection with the burglaries that took place over two weekends earlier this month in Monsey.
According to Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police, Jungries illegally entered and stole property from the synagogues, all located on Monsey Boulevard and Suzanne Drive.
On Saturday, Jan. 20, Ramapo Police received reports that the two synagogues on Monsey Boulevard had been hit again, Franklin said.

A New York man has been charged with five separate alleged burglaries that occurred in the Hudson Valley over the past three months.
Maurice Deutsch, age 40, of Brooklyn, was arrested by the Ramapo Police on Friday, Nov. 10, for the burglaries that took place in Rockland County in the village of New Hempstead and the Monsey area.
According to Det. Lt. Christopher Franklin, of the Ramapo Police, on three occasions, Deutsch had entered a building on the grounds of a cemetery in New Hempstead and removed proceeds from a charity box.

A Hudson Valley woman has been charged with allegedly using her ex-boyfriend's credit card and bank account to make $700 in purchases.
Orange County resident Kelly Kopp, age 34, of Middletown, was arrested on Thursday, May 18, and charged with:

Area Man Charged With Burglarizing Beer World Twice, Police Say
An area man was busted following an investigation into allegedly burglarizing Beer World twice last month.
Sullivan County resident Justus L. McMoore, age 37, of Monticello, was charged on Friday, Dec. 16, with two counts of grand larceny and petit larceny, said Lt. Mark Johnstone, of the Monticello Police.
McMoore is accused of illegally entering the Beer World store at 77 Pleasant St., in Monticello on Friday, Nov. 4, and stealing $821.45 worth of items, Johnstone said.
Several days later, on Monday, Nov. 7, Johnstone said he entered the store again and stole $2,828.20 worth of items.
