Two Killed In Hudson Valley Crash, Police Say Two people were killed during a Hudson Valley crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle. The crash took place in Dutchess County around 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 21 at the intersection of Overlook Road and Keith Drive in LaGrange. The victims have not been identified pending notification of next of kin, said Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Watterson said the investigation is continuing and additional information will be released soon.  This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Separate Fatal Crashes Under Investigation In Area Police are investigating a pair of fatal crashes that happened over the course of two days. Dutchess County Sheriff Capt. John Watterson said that there was a fatal motorcycle crash at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 near the intersection of Overlook Road and Alvin Court in LaGrange. Two days later, at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fatal one-vehicle off-road crash in Amenia. Man Violates Protection Order, Threatens To Kill Victim, Police Say A 28-year-old man who allegedly violated an order of protection was arrested after attacking and threatened to kill another person who came to the aid of the victim. Ulster County resident Edward J. Steffens, of Milton, was arrested by New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks on Monday, April 27, after responding to a domestic violence report in LaGrange, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
