Man Assaults, Injures Three Officers Attempting To Bring Him Into Custody In Area, Police Say
A 20-year-old man wanted for assault was arrested after attempting to flee three officers attempting to interview him, injuring three in the process, police said.
LaGrange resident Juan Carlos Alvarez-Lopez was approached by officers from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, following a report of a suspicious person around Main Street in Arlington.

Man Arrested For DWI Following Crash Had 13 Active License Suspensions, Police Say
An Ulster man arrested for alleged DWI after crashing his vehicle had 13 active license suspensions.
Cesar Infante, 35, of Saugerties, was arrested around 1152 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, after police responded to the area of 67 Sparling Road for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch, and then proceeded to drive into a field, where it became disabled, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
When police arrived on the scene they found Infante who when they attempted to interview was "highly intoxicated and abusive toward officers," Sinagra said.

Man Accused Of Stabbing Two Cab Drivers In Face With Screwdriver
A 34-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing two cab drivers in the face with a screwdriver in the area.
Gimel Kimble, of Monticello, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 3, after police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Broadway and Jefferson Street in the Village of Monticello, Lt. Mark Johnstone said.
The incident took place around 12:08 a.m., when the two victims, both cab drivers for the same company, were in the process of a shift change in a parking lot when they were approached by another man, Johnstone said.

Man Gives Fake ID After Shoplifting At Mall, Police Say
A 25-year-old man who gave officers a fake name after shoplifting has been charged, police say.
Officers with the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department say they received a larceny complaint at J.C. Penney in Galleria Mall (2001 South Road) on Friday, June 28.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as Dominique Hobbs, 25, of Newburgh, had fled the business on foot after stealing clothing, police say.
Officers canvassed the area and located Hobbs. He was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, police say.
