Thanks to quick and skillful action, an officer was able to save the life of a baby who had become unresponsive at a Northern Westchester residence. The incident began at around 1:50 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, when a Mount Kisco family reported that their 1-year-old child was non-responsive and not breathing, according to Westchester County Police. A couple faces charges after a middle-aged Connecticut woman was assaulted on a Northern Westchester hiking trail following a dispute over an unleashed dog, police said. A life was saved when police were able to talk a man down from jumping off a bridge in Northern Westchester. In the early morning hours of Friday, Feb. 3, around 1:12 a.m., police responded to a residence in Mount Kisco on Maple Avenue after receiving a report from a caller that their roommate had fallen and injured his hand before becoming upset and leaving the apartment, according to the Westchester County Police Department. A man was nabbed after he struck a pedestrian with a van he was driving and fled from the scene in the area, authorities said. The incident occurred in Northern Westchester at 8:15 a.m., Friday, July 22 in Mount Kisco, at Main Street and Bedford Road (Route 117). A Northern Westchester resident was arrested after allegedly slashing a man in the leg and stealing his cell phone. The incident took place in Mount Kisco around 5 p.m., Sunday, July 18 at Leonard Park. Court officials report that Bedford Town Justice Erik Jacobsen has been administratively suspended following an arrest for DWI and resisting arrest after police say they had to use a stun gun when he refused to comply with their efforts to arrest him.
