House Fire Breaks Out In Westchester County Authorities are investigating a fire that broke out at a Westchester County home over the weekend. Firefighters responded to a house fire on North Main Street in Port Chester at about 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28, the Port Chester Fire Department said. Authorities found heavy fire that had traveled up the entire back of the home and into the back of the first, second, and third floors, officials said. Reward Offered In Search For SUV Driver In Westchester Hit-Run Involving Pedestrian A reward has been issued as police attempt to track down the driver who was involved in a hit-and-run that hospitalized a 78-year-old man in the area. The New York State Crime Stoppers issued a reward of up to $2,500 as police search for the woman that struck Jose Cortes in Port Chester on Tuesday as he was crossing the road.
