: Fierce Fire Ravages $3M Tenafly Home
𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: A fierce fire blew through a $3 million Tenafly home Friday night. Everyone got out OK and no injuries were reported after the fire ignited on the first floor near the back of the Hudson Avenue home off County Road shortly before 8:30 p.m. June 14. It quickly went to three alarms and then, later, a fourth for coverage. Firefighters had the bulk of the blaze knocked down within a half hour, then remained until 11 p.m. or so dousing hot spots. Missing Deaf NJ Woman, 87, Found Safe By Middletown Police -- 50 Miles From Home
A 87-year-old New Jersey woman who went missing the day was found safe Friday morning by police in Middletown, authorities said. June Cross, who is deaf, was driving a grey 2009 Honda Accord when she left a meeting in another town and didn't return home Thursday morning, New Milford Police Detective Lt. Kevin Van Saders said. Around 4 p.m. she showed up in New Windsor, where police "gave her directions back to New Milford," Van Saders said. That was the last anyone had heard from her until Middletown police spotted Cross early Friday, he said.

Tipped Rig Dumps Load Of Mulch Near Bergen-Rockland Border
A dump truck spilled a load of mulch Monday afternoon near the Bergen-Rockland border, toppling a utility pole, yanking down power lines and spilling fuel. Brookside Auto & Towing sent a heavy-duty wrecker to Rockleigh to right the rig after the Piermont Road mishap. New Milford sent its Hazardous Materials Unit to handle the fuel spill. The driver appeared unharmed.

Man Jumps On Train Near Platform Full Of Pedestrians In Pearl River, Police Say
A 23-year-old gave a platform of commuters a scare, hanging onto a train at the Pearl River station on St. Patrick’s Day as it took off, forcing the conductor to stop, and startling riders police said. Officers from the Orangetown Police Department arrested a New Milford, N.J. man - whose name was not immediately released by investigators - shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 17 after he caused a scene at the Metro-North station. Mahwah Police Find Pot Grow Room, Arrest Resident And Friend From Englewood
Mahwah police searching for a man who’d fled a previous arrest found a pot-growing operation at his home, authorities said. They arrested Michael Deans at his Pine Hill Road home along with Jordan Winfree of Englewood, both 29, after a warranted search turned up marijuana package for resale, high-concentrate THC oil and a pot grow room, Police Chief James N. Katie Ann Mele Of Wayne, 29, Was Studying To Become Paralegal
Katie Ann Mele of Wayne died on Jan. 28. She was 29 years old. Katie Ann was born in Teaneck and lived in Fairview before moving to Wayne. She was a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University and was studying to be a paralegal. She also lived in New Milford Katie Ann was employed by Michael Sprague, Attorney in Hackensack. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Of The Valley R.C. Church in Wayne. She is survived by her parents Angelo and Catherine (nee Cotrel) Mele of Wayne; brothers Michael and David Mele of Wayne; and grandmother Irene Horvath of Wayne. Services were private.
