Teen Facing DWI, Manslaughter Charges After HS Student Killed In Hudson Valley Crash
A Rockland County teen who was allegedly driving drunk when he crashed his vehicle, killing a 16-year-old girl, will appear in court on Monday, April 26.
The unidentified 17-year-old driver has been charged with:
Second-degree manslaughter,
Second-degree assault,
First-degree vehicular assault,
Second-degree vehicular manslaughter,
DWI.
The crash, that claimed the life of Jacqueline Zangrilli and injured four others, took place around 2:50 a.m. Saturday, April 24 in Rockland County on Route 202 in the Village of Montebello.

71-Year-Old Charged In Connection To Killing Of Another Woman In Area, Police Say
State Police have arrested a woman on manslaughter charges in connection to the alleged killing of another woman.
Joan M. Darcy, age 71, of Wappinger, was arrested on Wednesday, April 7, and charged with manslaughter for the November death of the other woman.
On Thursday, Nov. 5, State Police from the Wappinger barracks responded to a residence on Scarborough Lane in the town of Wappinger for a deceased woman, Hicks said.
An investigation revealed the victim, identified as Carol A. Darcy, 72, died of blunt force injuries.

A Hudson Valley woman has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the kidnapping and beating death of a man in the area.
Orange County resident Courtney Clemenza, age 33, of Chester, pleaded on Wednesday, March 24, in connection with the December 2019 death of a man beaten and bound on Kipp Road in the Town of Goshen, said Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler.
Three other individuals, Robert Haskell, age 55, Timothy Smith, age 37, and Seth Pelsang, age 31, all of Goshen, were also previously charged in connection with the man’s death.

Westchester Man Fatally Stabbed By Co-Worker At Auto Dealership, Police Say
A Westchester man was allegedly stabbed to death by a co-worker at a car dealership.
Brandon Almonte, 22, of Yonkers, was found around 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, when New York City Police responded to a call of an assault in progress at the Riverdale Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram at 5869 Broadway in the Bronx, said the NYPD.
When officers arrived, they found Almonte unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple stab wounds to the neck, the NYPD said.
