Police ID Man Killed In Late-Night Minivan Crash In Monroe
A Brooklyn man was killed late Tuesday night, Dec. 10 when his van veered off the road and struck an embankment in Monroe, authorities said. Ulugbek Yunussov, 62, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler van that left the roadway and struck an embankment on Larkin Drive around 11 p.m., NY State Police said. Yunussov was extricated from the vehicle as EMS began lifesaving measures. Yunussov was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in serious condition but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation. Suspect Busted For Stealing $250K Of Phones In 2020 Hudson Valley Best Buy Heist
A second suspect who was part of an operation that stole nearly $250,000 worth of cellphones from a Hudson Valley Best Buy has been apprehended by investigators, state police authorities announced. Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, 2020, State Police in Orange County responded to an alarm at Best Buy in Monroe, where there was a reported burglary in progress. According to the Orange County Department of Health, an infected resident visited several sites in Middletown beginning on Wednesday, March 18 through and Friday, March 20. 19 Orange County Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops
Dozens of motorists in the Hudson Valley were among 46 removed from the road over St. Patrick’s Day weekend by New York State Police troopers. Local residents charged include: Orange County On March 15, State Police troopers from Monroe arrested Hugh Byrne, 22 of Chester, for DWAI Drugs. Troopers responded to a vehicle traveling the wrong way on State Route 17 in Blooming Grove. Troopers located the vehicle off the road and stuck in the mud.
