4 Nabbed For DWI In Hudson Valley: Wrong-Way Driving, Mailbox Damage Among Offenses, Police Say
Four people, including Westchester and Fairfield County residents, face various charges after they were caught driving while intoxicated in the Hudson Valley, police said.
The arrests all happened in Putnam County over both Saturday, Aug. 19, and Sunday, Aug. 20, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

A Hudson Valley man is charged with striking his wife after becoming angry over an iPad purchase, police said.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, at around 7:50 p.m., police in Putnam County responded to a residence in Kent at 51 Yorktown Rd. after receiving a report of a possible physical dispute, according to Kent Police.
After arriving, police spoke with a resident of the home, Nanette Ahearn, age 36, who said that the fight started when her husband became irritated about the iPad purchase she made, according to authorities.

After he was found trespassing in the parking lot of a Hudson Valley business, a drunk man gave police a false name before a brief attempt to run away from the scene, police said.
On Sunday, Oct. 23, around 2 a.m. in Putnam County, police officers in Kent found a man sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of Chris' Automotive located at 349 NY-52, and decided to find out why the man was at the business after hours, police said.

Police ID Two Killed, Release New Details In Apparent Hudson Valley Road Rage Incident
Police have identified two men killed and released new details after an apparent road rage incident on a busy roadway in the region.
The incident took place in Putnam County on Interstate 84 in the town of Kent early Saturday morning, July 2.
An initial investigation determined the two men, both from Dutchess County, Mark H. Hall, age 38, of Holmes, and Fabian A. Tirado, age 22, of Wappinger, stopped in the right lane of travel and exited their vehicles due to a road rage altercation, New York State Police said.
