Targeted 4-Hour Detail Results In 23 Traffic Stops At Busy Hudson Valley Shopping Center Following complaints from residents and business owners, a targeted police detail at a busy Hudson Valley shopping center resulted in 23 traffic summonses over only four hours.  The enforcement campaign was conducted in Putnam County on Friday evening, May 17 at the Mahopac Village Center shopping center. Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Driving Drunk At More Than Twice Legal Limit A 22-year-old Hudson Valley man is accused of driving while intoxicated at more than two times the legal limit. Troopers pulled a vehicle over on I-87 in the Albany County town of Bethlehem for vehicle and traffic violations at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, New York State Police said. Police said the driver, identified as Rockland County resident Cristian Agualema, of New City, was found to be intoxicated. Man Faces Impaired Driving Charge After Crash In Area A man was arrested for alleged intoxicated driving after hitting a car in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Putnam County around 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16 in the town of Kent. Police responded to the Kent Center for a report of a man who had struck a car and was possibly intoxicated, the department said. Alan Mendoza, of New City, pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide on Tuesday, Dec. 7, according to Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh. Weaving Driver Nabbed For DWI, Has License Revoked, Police Say A 37-year-old man was arrested for alleged DWI after numerous 911 callers reported a car weaving into oncoming traffic in Ulster County. Greene County resident James S. Hartley Jr., of the Town of Ashland, was arrested around 10:24 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 25, in Saugerties, after police responded to the area of Kings High Way for a civilian complaint, said Chief Joseph Sinagra.
