Hudson Valley Woman Sentenced For Death Of Area Man While Driving High On Marijuana
A Hudson Valley woman has been sentenced to prison for killing an area man while high on drugs.

Dutchess County resident Camay Pryce, age 35, of Poughkeepsie, was sentenced for vehicular manslaughter on Thursday, March 21 to serve 2 1/3 to 7 years in state prison.
According to Sinead McLoughlin of the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office, Erin T. Clancy, age 50, of Stanford, was killed around 5:50 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, in Pleasant Valley.

A four-day impaired driving enforcement effort in a Hudson Valley county led to the arrests of 17 people.
The enforcement effort in Dutchess County centered around the Fourth of July holiday, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.

Nearly 200 Nabbed By Nysp Troopers For Impaired Driving During Thanksgiving Weekend,
The final tally is in, and New York State Police troopers dished out more than 12,000 tickets and arrested nearly 150 motorists for alleged impaired driving, authorities announced.
Between Wednesday, Nov. 24, and Sunday, Nov. 28, New York State Police issued 12,975 tickets during their annual Thanksgiving holiday traffic enforcement period, down slightly from the previous year’s campaign.
Over the holiday, state police utilized sobriety checkpoints, additional DWI patrols, and ticketed distracted drivers who used handheld electronic devices.

Hundreds Face DWI, Speeding, Other Charges In Hudson Valley State Police Memorial Day Crackdown
New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley dished out hundreds of tickets during Memorial Day Weekend to everyone from impaired motorists to speeding drivers.
During the special enforcement campaign, which was held from Friday, May 22 through 3 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, troopers issued more than 8,900 tickets, including 203 for alleged DWI.
Troopers investigated 457 crashes during the detail, which resulted in injuries to 11 New Yorkers. There were also two fatal crashes during the holiday weekend.

Rockland County Sheriff Cracking Down On Impaired Driving Over Memorial Day Weekend
With a photo of a 13-year-old area teen who was killed by a drunk driver by his side, Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco warned drivers about the dangers of impaired driving.
While traffic on roadways is expected to be lighter than normal over the Memorial Day weekend due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, Falco said his office is still enforcing the laws.

Police Issue Thousands Of Tickets In Area During National Child Passenger Safety Week
Thousands of tickets were handed out by New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley during National Child Passenger Safety Week.
Troopers in Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Green Counties issued more than 2,100 tickets to motorists during the special detail, which lasted from Sunday, Sept. 15, through Saturday, Sept. 21.
During the detail, troopers issued 86 child restraint tickets. In addition to those, another 2,042 tickets were handed out for various vehicle and traffic violations.
