Man Busted In Broom Handle Attack During Hudson Valley Incident A man was charged with allegedly assaulting a woman with a broom handle and his fist, causing a head injury, during a domestic dispute in the region. Ulster County resident Harry J. Krom, age 42, of Kerhonkson, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 25, on Two Path Road in Wawarsing. An investigation alleges that Krom repeatedly struck a 45-year-old woman with a broom handle and closed fist. Police Search For Leads In Case Of Man Found In Street With Severe Head Injuries Police are searching for leads and asking the public for help finding out what happened to a man found in a street with severe head injuries. The man was found around 4:40 a.m., Friday, Nov. 1, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received a call reporting a man down in the street in the area of 219 Mill St., near the Italian Center, said police department officials.
