Blaze Consumes Home In Hudson Valley, Prompts Investigation Firefighters from multiple departments battled a house fire in Rockland County on Sunday evening, Feb. 16, that prompted an investigation into the cause of the blaze. The blaze began at around 7 p.m. at a residence on Stella Court in Stony Point, where arriving police officers found heavy smoke pouring from the residence, the Stony Point Police Department said. Construction Worker Seriously Injured After 20-Foot Fall In Hudson Valley A construction worker was seriously injured after falling from a second-floor roof to the first floor.  The incident took place in Orange County around 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 25 in the town of Highland Falls on Owens Farm Road. According to the Highland Falls Police Chief Frank Basile, a construction worker was working on a second-floor roof when he fell 20 to 30 feet to the first-floor roof area. It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, in Orange County on Long Mountain Traffic Circle in the Town of Highland. A preliminary investigation by state police from the Haverstraw barracks revealed that Pierre D.
