A 33-year-old Connecticut man accused of selling controlled substances and fleeing from officers was jailed in the Hudson Valley after being apprehended on multiple outstanding warrants, police said. Hartford County resident Luis Flores of New Britain was arrested at Connecticut's Derby Superior Court and extradited back to Putnam County on Tuesday, Oct. 22, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Monday, Oct. 28. A speeding driver from New York has been charged with fleeing a police officer and other charges and issued 106 tickets after failing to stop for a traffic infraction. Joseph S. Salazar, age 26, of the Bronx, was arrested on Wednesday, June 28, for the incident which took place in Rockland County in the town of Stony Point on Sunday, May 28. Man Busted With Stolen Gun Following Police Pursuit, Cops Say
A Hudson Valley man was busted with an alleged stolen weapon after taking police on a pursuit. The incident took place in Orange County around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 on Cantrell Avenue in the city of Middletown. Troopers pulled over a 2019 Acura on Cantrell Avenue for having a suspended license. When they approached the vehicle, the driver, Nkosi Callender, age 32 from Middletown, became irate and began to yell at the troopers and refused to get out of the vehicle, said Trooper Steven Nevel. A teenager in a stolen sports car took New York State Police troopers on a chase before attempting to flee on foot to avoid arrest. New York State Police troopers in Dutchess County attempted to stop a 2019 Dodge Challenger on the Taconic State Parkway when the driver committed a traffic violation while driving at approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6 in Milan. Heroin, Cocaine Seized After Man, Woman Take Police On High-Speed Chase Through Three Counties
A high-speed police chase through Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties ended with the arrests of a man and woman who were caught with a large amount of heroin as well as cocaine.
