An 89-year-old Hudson Valley man has been charged with menacing after he allegedly displayed a gun in front of a local government employee while paying his water bill. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Fishkill City Hall on Wednesday, March 20. The employee reported the confrontation and Fishkill Police Detectives responded to investigate. Five Nabbed For Prostitution After Detail At Hotel In Hudson Valley
Five people have been arrested following a prostitution bust at a hotel in the region. All five suspects were apprehended in Dutchess County Wednesday, April 27, in the Town of Fishkill after local and state police targeted prostitution and other illegal activity at the Extended Stay America on West Merritt Boulevard, Fishkill Police said. In addition to the prostitution charges, some were also busted for criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. Police did not release the names of those charged. The New York State Police have released the identities of the police and suspect in an officer-involved shooting in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened in Dutchess County at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 27, at The Views at Rocky Glenn in the town of Fishkill. An investigation is underway by state police after a man allegedly armed with a knife was critically injured after being shot by an officer at a Hudson Valley apartment complex. Missing Woman Found Safe
This story has been updated. A woman whose family reported her missing after she vanished for more than a day has been found. Family member Gissell Alarcon said Katy Ordonez-Garces of Fishkill was found late Friday afternoon safe and unharmed. She was last heard from around 10 a.m. Thursday when she spoke with a family member, saying she had a horrible headache, said Alarcon.
