A movie based on a theater program at a maximum security prison in the Hudson Valley is making history by becoming the first film to be screened in prisons across the country, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
"Sing Sing," based on the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in the Northern Westchester village of Ossining, will again be released in theaters on Friday, Jan. 17. A missing 13-year-old Hudson Valley girl was found safe near a Walmart after an intensive two-day search that included large groups of people, drones, helicopters, K9s, and 4-wheelers.
The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Newburgh on Saturday, Sept. 16 around 2:10 p.m.

21-Year-Old Accused Of Raping Minor In Hudson Valley
A 21-year-old man has been charged with the rape of a minor in the Hudson Valley.
Connecticut resident Axell Enrique Orellana Flores, of Waterbury, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 7, in connection with an investigation into inappropriate sexual contact involving a minor, said Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
Flores is accused of having sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17 in the town of Fishkill on Sunday, Nov. 6, Watterson said.
