Fatal-Hit Run Crash: Female Suspect Nabbed After SUV Strikes Woman In Hudson Valley A female suspect who fled the scene has been apprehended after a woman who was struck by an SUV on a busy roadway in the region died, according to authorities. The incident happened around 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 in Dutchess County on Merritt Boulevard near Vanderbilt Way in the town of Fishkill. The crash was reported to the state police at approximately 10:10 a.m. Saturday. Child Porn Arrest: Hudson Valley Man Charged With 4 Counts A Hudson Valley man was charged with four counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child following a tip to police. Dutchess County resident Efrain Negron, age 28, of Fishkill, was charged on Thursday, Aug. 31, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. After receiving a law enforcement tip, an investigation by the members of the State Police Wappinger Bureau of Criminal Investigation determined Negron was in possession of child pornography, Hicks said. Negron was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Fishkill Court on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Man Busted Patronizing Prostitute In Area, Police Say A john is facing criminal charges after allegedly soliciting a prostitute in the Hudson Valley. An investigation by New York State Police detectives in Wappingers, in conjunction with the Troop K - which includes Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties - determined that Accord resident Paul Vanleuven, 27, allegedly patronized a prostitute. Vanleuven was arrested last week and charged with third-degree patronizing a prostitute, a misdemeanor. After appearing in court, Vanleuven was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Fishkill Court on July 30.
