UPDATE: In a random coincidence, a teacher featured in a PBS special about aviation this past week was involved in an emergency landing at the Paramus Golf Course early Sunday afternoon. Three minor injuries were reported after the 1984 fixed-wing, single-engine Mooney M20K made an emergency landing around 12:30 p.m. on the fairway of the 9th hole off Paramus Road. "Three minor injuries, none serious" -- two adults and a child, Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg told Daily Voice. The teacher from Georgia and high-profile attorney from Fairfield County who were the two passengers killed in Saturday's small-plane crash off the coast of the Hamptons were in a six-month, long-distance relationship. Richard Terbrusch, 53, was a Ridgefield resident and 1983 graduate of John Jay High School in Cross River whose divorce and family law practice was based in Danbury, and Dr. Jennifer Landrum, 45, was a teacher at Thomson High School in Georgia. Pilot Killed When Plane Crashes At Former Theme Park In West Milford
WEST MILFORD, N.J. – The pilot died in a small plane crash that ignited a fire Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area of West Milford that was once part of the former Jungle Habitat theme park, authorities confirmed. State Police Will Start Deploying Drones
State Police in the Hudson Valley will soon have some new tools to fight crime and enforce the law in New York. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the launch of a new “State Police Unmanned Aerial System” program, which will involve the use of aerial drones that will be put into service later this month.
