New York State Police say they received a report that a large commercial air compressor had been stolen from a Wallkill construction site on Tuesday, Aug. 21. Further investigation revealed that a Sullair compressor valued at approximately $20,000 had been stolen from a worksite at the William A. Water Main Break Closes Street In Wallkill A busy roadway in Wallkill was closed on Wednesday as crews deal with a water main break in the area. The Wallkill Office of Emergency Management issued an alert at approximately 5:30 a.m., cautioning that East Main Street will be closed between Ridgewood Avenue and Brookline Avenue as crews deal with the water main break. Narcan Used To Save Wallkill Overdose Victim Some fast acting police officers in Orange County helped save the life of a Wallkill man who may have been suffering an early morning overdose. Police officers from the Wallkill Police Department and members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Cumberland Farms on East Main Street at 11:19 a.m. on Wednesday morning, where there was an emergency medical services call. The Orange County Industrial Development Agency recently approved tax breaks for the $14.93 million, 93-room, 54,280-room Holiday Inn Express and Suites Hotel, set to open in spring 2019 at 599 East Main Street, according to the Times Herald-Record. Construction is set to begin next month. The project will create 28 jobs, 18 full-time and 10 part-time, according to the Times Herald-Record. The project received $600,000 in sales tax exemptions for 18 months and $83,000 in mortgage recording tax exemptions, according to the Times H…
