On Friday, June 5, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Andrew C. Pesavento, 32, of Cortlandt, NY, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on Oregon Road in the town of Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of drugs, and was subsequently arrested.

Hundreds Face DWI, Speeding, Other Charges In Hudson Valley State Police Memorial Day Crackdown
New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley dished out hundreds of tickets during Memorial Day Weekend to everyone from impaired motorists to speeding drivers.
During the special enforcement campaign, which was held from Friday, May 22 through 3 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, troopers issued more than 8,900 tickets, including 203 for alleged DWI.
Troopers investigated 457 crashes during the detail, which resulted in injuries to 11 New Yorkers. There were also two fatal crashes during the holiday weekend.

Police: I-87 Traffic Stop Leads To Aggravated DWI Charge For Area Man Driving Three Times Limit
A 51-year-old man was nabbed allegedly driving drunk at three times the legal limit during a traffic stop.
The arrest took place around 11:15 p.m., Monday, May 18, in Rockland County when New York State Police stopped a vehicle on Interstate-87 in the village of South Nyack for several vehicle and traffic violations.
During the stop, the driver, Patrick A. Pierson, of West Nyack, was allegedly found to be intoxicated, said state police.
Pierson was taken into custody, and processed where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27 percent, state police said.

On Saturday, May 9, State Police from Greenville (Orange County) arrested Zachary Blair, 61, of Middletown, for DWI. He was traveling on Prospect Street in the city of Middletown when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

Drunk Woman, 27, Crashes Into Utility Pole In Area, Police Say
New York State Police arrested a 27-year-old woman for alleged DWI after he allegedly crashed into a utility pole.
Victoria R. Wheaton, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was arrested around 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, after troopers responded to a crash in the town of Stanford, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
When troopers responded to Route 82 they found a vehicle had crashed into a utility pole. An investigation determined that Wheaton failed to maintain her lane and struck the pole while allegedly driving drunk.
